Why Selling is Exactly Like Sex

I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed on Mike Mantell's podcast. He is a phenomenally engaging interviewer, and the whole conversation was a blast, but this particular 17-minute segment on selling was so especially rich that I asked permission to pre-release it.

In it, we discuss the ethical razor's edge of selling, the inherent intimacy of selling, and how selling is like sex – not just abstractly, but for me personally and viscerally. I make a case for allowing the pace of a sale to slow WAY down to the speed of real human relationship. Finally I share my obsession with making businesses fit their owners like a tailored suit, and why I and my clients require nothing less.

Enjoy the conversation. And please share what you take away from it!
